Construction Surveying

Construction Layout & Staking

Precise stakeout of buildings, gridlines, foundations, utilities and roadworks — direct from your IFC drawings to marks your crews can build from.

Layout is where survey accuracy has an immediate, visible payoff. PCI Surveys stakes buildings, foundations, gridlines, anchor bolts, underground services, curb and road alignments and earthworks limits so your crews and subcontractors can build without guesswork.

We work from your issued-for-construction drawings, confirm control before staking, and communicate clearly with site supervision about what was marked, how it is referenced, and what to protect. When designs change, we re-stake quickly so the schedule keeps moving.

Common Questions

Layout & Staking FAQs

What do you need from us before layout can start?

A current set of design drawings — ideally the IFC set — and site access. We take it from there: control, calculations and staking to the drawings.

What can PCI stake out?

Gridlines, footings, anchor bolts, walls, curb and gutter, roads, underground services, piles — anything shown on the drawings can be put on the ground.

What happens if stakes get disturbed during construction?

It happens on every active site. We re-stake as the work progresses so crews always have reliable marks to build from.

How quickly can a layout crew be on site?

With crews based in Prince George, Edmonton, Vancouver and Whitehorse, mobilization stays short across BC, Alberta and the Yukon. Request a quote and we'll get you scheduled.

Need layout & staking?

Send drawings, site plans or a short description. We'll review and respond with a clear scope and quote.
