Private Utility Locating
Electromagnetic and GPR locating of privately owned underground utilities — the lines one-call services don't mark — before you dig.
Watch Us Work
Marked. Mapped. Documented.
This is what a PCI locate looks like on the ground — methodical passes with GPR and electromagnetic gear until the whole picture is painted, whether that's a downtown lot or a coastal townsite at the end of a logging road.

Public one-call services (BC 1 Call, Utility Safety Partners, Yukon locate services) generally mark buried utilities only up to the utility provider's demarcation point — the meter, the property line, or the service entrance. Beyond that point, privately owned lines like site electrical, gas runs to buildings and tanks, water and sewer services, irrigation, communications and process piping are the owner's responsibility. Those are the lines PCI Surveys finds.
Our locators use Vivax-Metrotech electromagnetic equipment, ground-penetrating radar, sondes and sewer cameras to trace, identify and mark private underground utilities on commercial, industrial, institutional and residential properties across BC, Alberta and the Yukon — before excavation, drilling, trenching or any ground disturbance.
